[26 Oct 2011] It is becoming more and more common to install solar panels on roofs in order to obtain green electricity, but not all roofs are equally suitable. Scientists from the University of Gothenburg have launched a tool that uses the actual conditions to determine the maximum possible magnitude of solar incidence - in a whole town, a neighbourhood, or a particular roof. The scientists have surveyed Gothenburg in a pilot project.
[7 Sep 2011] The capital of Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou, is not only one of the fastest growing cities in the world, it is also extremely polluted. Researchers from the University of Gothenburg have shown that the city climate contributes to the high pollution levels. However, increased knowledge about the city could turn bad into good.

[4 Jan 2008] The icebreaker Oden is now back in the Antarctic with Swedish and American researchers on board. Agneta Fransson is one of the researchers from Göteborg University that is participating and this is her direct report from the northern part of the Ross Sea.
